Job description

The resource tech must have CNA, Ward Clerk or Monitor Tech experience and a willingness to expand his/her knowledge base in a clinical work setting in order to apply. The Resource Tech focuses on acquisition of the skills and knowledge he/she needs to function in an expanded role. The Resource Tech assumes increasingly responsible roles as he/she gains self-confidence, competence and comfort in the clinical setting and becomes more able to provide quality patient care.
He/She participates in in-services and continuing education programs to maintain and increase clinical competency.
All criteria evaluated reflect the quality and quantity of the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Educational Requirements:
  • CPR Certification within 30 days of 1st shift of direct patient care or prior to completion of orientation.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant or previous education / clinical experience comparable to requirements of CNA program.
