Reporting to the SVP of Hotel Accounting & Shared Services, you will strengthen controls, streamline processes, and drive scalable accounting operations across 600+ hotels. It's a high-impact role for someone who brings hotel accounting expertise, strategic vision, change leadership, and a sharp focus on performance, compliance, and team success.
This role is for you if you know how to turn complexity into structure and lead change with confidence.
  • You bring deep hotel accounting and HMA expertise and know how to build stronger, more consistent processes.
  • You influence across teams, use data to drive accountability, and deliver results at scale.
  • You are energized by leading people, advancing change, and building scalable solutions for long-term growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; CPA strongly preferred. MBA or Master's in Accounting/Finance is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in hotel accounting, hospitality finance, or multi-unit financial operations, including 5+ years in senior leadership, ideally within a leading third-party hotel management company.
  • Proven success leading large-scale transformation, change management, or shared services in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Deep expertise in hotel accounting, including cash reconciliation, balance sheet management, capital accounting, USALI reporting, HMA provisions, and multi-brand operations.
  • Ability to build control frameworks, influence across levels, simplify complex accounting concepts, and leverage PMS, accounting, and BI/reporting tools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Transformation with Purpose
  • Lead Hotel Accounting transformation, driving alignment, readiness, and adoption across teams.
  • Partner with the SVP to shape and execute transformation roadmaps tied to growth.
  • Drive process improvements that reduce risk, strengthen controls, and support lasting change.

Strengthen Controls and Accountability
  • Build dashboards and monitoring tools to track completion, control gaps, and compliance issues.
  • Standardize SOPs, accounting policies, and delegation frameworks to support compliant operations.
  • Lead internal control reviews and support SOC1 audits with Internal Audit.

Oversee Financial Accuracy and Compliance
  • Oversee cash reconciliation, capital accounting, fixed assets, depreciation, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Set review standards that improve accuracy, visibility, and accountability across reconciliations.
  • Serve as the HMA accounting lead, ensuring owner reporting and compliance with each agreement.

Scale the Function Through Systems and Shared Services
  • Partner with Shared Services to optimize centralized hotel accounting.
  • Drive automation and adoption of accounting and reporting tools.
  • Partner across IT, Finance, and Learning to support systems and change readiness.

Build High-Performing Teams
  • Lead a team of change leaders, analysts, and accounting specialists.
  • Coach talent, set KPIs, and support development.
  • Foster a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
