Job description

The Le Meridien Indianapolis is seeking a dual People & Culture (Human Resources) and Accounting Manager to join our leadership team. Managed by StepStone Hospitality, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences while cultivating a people-first workplace culture.
The Hr & Accounting Manager will lead all Human Resources functions for the property, serving as a strategic partner to leadership and a champion for employee engagement. This role will utilize Paylocity to manage HR operations including payroll, onboarding, and compliance. This role will also accomplish Hotel Accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily income journal reviewing, and weekly deposits.
Requirements
This unique role has two facets.
The People & Culture side:
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations and performance management
  • Administer payroll, benefits, and HRIS through Paylocity
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting
  • Support training, development, and succession planning efforts

The Accounting side:
  • Post and code all invoices and payments into the accounting computer systems, M3 Accounting Core.
  • Research all payments daily to avoid late penalties and any other problem accounts
  • Field and rectify all accounting related guest inquiries, including receipts, chargebacks, and billing disputes.
  • Complete and balance daily income journal as needed in Profitsword.
  • Count and prepare daily cash drops for bank deposits, track and report any discrepancies.

  • Experience working in boutique or full-service hotel environments is necessary to be successful in this role
  • Strong coaching, conflict resolution, and leadership development skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Prior knowledge and experience with M3 Accounting Core would be a huge bonus!
  • Prior knowledge and experience with Galaxy Lightspeed would be a huge bonus as well!
