Job description

NOW HIRING

Area Assistant Director of Finance

Hilton Miami Beach is a highly anticipated new-build hotel inside a historic Art Deco building steps from Collins Park, the Miami Beach Convention Center, Collins Avenue, Lincoln Road, and South Beach. With playfully designed guest rooms, three dining outlets — Amador, Savant Rooftop Bar, and Haute Mess Cafe — two rooftop pools, and flexible meeting space, this flagship 289-room property is now building its team ahead of its December 2026 opening.

THE ROLE

The Area Assistant Director of Finance supports the accounting function across the company's South Florida properties, based at Hilton Miami Beach, and is central to the accuracy and integrity of daily revenue reporting and cash controls. This role directly oversees the property's Credit Manager and accounts receivable function.

This is a pre-opening hire — you'll help build this role from the ground up ahead of our December 2026 launch.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Perform and oversee Income Audit for all South Florida properties, ensuring daily revenue is accurately posted, reconciled, and reported.

▪ Complete credit card reconciliations and cash deposit reconciliations across properties, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

▪ Maintain strong internal controls over cash handling, credit card settlements, and revenue postings in accordance with company and brand standards.

▪ Supervise, train, and support the Credit Manager and accounts receivable function, including review of aging reports and collections status.

▪ Partner with property-level and area finance leadership on month-end close, journal entries, and audit support related to income audit and cash controls.

▪ Support ad hoc financial reporting and analysis requests from the Director of Finance and ownership/area leadership.

▪ Continuously refine accounting procedures and internal controls in line with company and brand standards.

▪ Assist with development of initial accounting procedures, cash-handling controls, and reconciliation workflows ahead of property launch.

▪ Support pre-opening budget setup and configuration of accounting systems (M3) for the new property.

QUALIFICATIONS

▪ Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in Accounting (firm requirement for this role).

▪ Hotel accounting/finance experience preferred.

▪ M3 Accounting System experience preferred.

▪ Prior supervisory experience preferred, including oversight of accounts receivable or credit functions.

WHAT WE OFFER

▪ Competitive salary

▪ Paid Time Off

▪ Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits

▪ 401(k)

▪ Hilton Team Member Travel Program (discounted stays worldwide)

▪ The opportunity to help build this role from the ground up for a flagship pre-opening property

Hilton Miami Beach is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
