Position Summary

The Salad Bar Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the salad bar area while ensuring food quality and availability. This role supports guest satisfaction by keeping the salad bar fully stocked, fresh, and appealing throughout service.

This is a non-exempt position that works closely with both front-of-house and kitchen team members.

Essential Functions

As a Salad Bar Attendant, you will:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the salad bar at all times
• Refill food items to ensure availability and freshness for guests
• Monitor food quality and remove or replace items as needed
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and temperature control procedures
• Ensure serving utensils and stations are clean and properly stocked
• Wipe down surfaces and maintain a clean dining area around the salad bar
• Assist with food prep related to salad bar items as needed
• Communicate with kitchen team regarding inventory and replenishment needs
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness in assigned areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company standards
• Adapt to varying responsibilities during shifts based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and service-oriented
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation

Pay Range: $13 per hour – $14 per hour

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, location, and business needs.

This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds

• Work in a fast-paced food service environment

Work Environment

This role operates in a restaurant environment with exposure to food service areas, temperature-controlled stations, and high guest traffic. Team members are expected to follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
