Job title: Order Fulfillment Specialist
Department: Order Fulfillment
Reports To: Order Fulfillment Manager Position Type: Full-time Base Pay: $15.00/hr
Job Summary

The Order Fulfillment Specialist helps deliver reliable customer experience by accurately picking, packing, and shipping orders while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and safety. This role is built around teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Specialists take ownership of their work, support one another, communicate challenges, and look for better ways to deliver excellent experience to customers who love sharp and pointy things.
Key Responsibilities
  • Pick, verify, pack, and ship Blade HQ customer orders.
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, quality, and safety expectations.
  • Keep assigned workstations clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Safely handle knives and other edged products.
  • Communicate workflow problems, recurring errors, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with carrier pickups and move completed shipments to designated pickup areas when needed.
  • Crosstrain and support Team Leads or other departments based on operational needs.

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
  • Ability to follow standard processes while maintaining an appropriate work pace.
  • Ability to learn and use fulfillment software, handheld devices, and shipping equipment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely handle knives and other edged tools.
  • Ability to use handheld devices, computers, and shipping equipment for extended periods.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse and packing environment that may contain dust and fluctuating temperatures.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience using a WMS, OMS, handheld scanner, or shipping system preferred.

Expected Hours of Work
  • Full-time, hourly/non-exempt
  • Sun-Weds, 7:00am - 5:30pm (four 10hr days)
  • Weekends, holidays, overtime, or adjusted hours may be required based on business needs.
  • Responsibilities may change based on operational needs and as directed by management.
