Job description

Squirrel Hill Health Center (SHHC), a dynamic and growingย Federally Qualified Health Center, is hiring a full time Front Office Representative to work in out Brentwood office. Must be available and willing to work in bothย Squirrel Hill and Brentwood offices as needed.

The Front Office Representative is an integral part of the team that provides outstanding patient support services, including greeting patients, answeringย theย telephone,ย scheduling appointments with providers, documenting information in theย electronic health recordย system,ย andย performing relatedย general office duties.ย 

The Front Office Representative plays a critical role in verifying and updating accounts with new insurance information and ensuring all claims have the appropriate documentation before being coded and submitted. The Front Office Representative exhibits accuracy and attention to detail in processing insurance information.ย  The Front Office Representative alsoย channelsย communications amongย patients, nurses, clinicians, and otherย staff members.

Qualifications:

  • All CDC recommended vaccinesย 

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years in an outpatient medical setting preferred

  • Knowledge of and experience in medical insurance

  • Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to multi-task

  • Collaborative team player

  • Ability to speak Spanish or Nepali strongly preferred

  • Available to work in other SHHC sites as needed

  • Available to work a rotating shift including evenings (Tuesday and Thursday)ย
