About the Role:
The HRIS Support Specialist provides operational and administrative support for the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and related processes. This role maintains accurate employee data, supports HR system transactions, reporting, user assistance, training, and data integrity across HR platforms. Working closely with HR leadership, the specialist helps improve HR processes, supports system implementations and upgrades, and ensures timely access to accurate HR information. The role also administers travel and expense reimbursement programs by assisting employees, resolving inquiries, ensuring policy compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service. Additional responsibilities include supporting both back-office and employee-facing HR functions as needed.
This role plays a strong commitment to understanding and embracing the Poarch Creek Indians Values of Perseverance, Opportunity, Accountability, Respect, Culture, and Honesty.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and analyze HR reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business operations, compliance, and decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and process employee lifecycle transactions, including onboarding, offboarding, and status changes.
  • Provide HRIS support by troubleshooting system issues and assisting managers and employees with HRIS workflows and self-service tools.
  • Support HRIS configurations, system testing, upgrades, implementations, and process documentation.
  • Administer user access, security roles, background screening renewals, MVR verifications, and other HR compliance activities.
  • Manage the Talent Acquisition dashboard and prepare HR metrics and reports.
  • Administer the travel and expense program, including employee support, travel bookings, expense submissions, and policy guidance.
  • Review and audit travel requests and expense reports, resolve compliance issues, and coordinate with leadership and travel vendors.
  • Collect, analyze, and present HR and travel data using Microsoft Office applications to support operational reporting and process improvements.
  • Perform other related duties and provide administrative support for HR operations as assigned.
Core Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • Five (5) years of HRIS analyst and administration experience, working within cloud-based integrated systems required. Must have previous experience implementing and configuring cloud-based integrated systems.
  • Must have previous experience drafting dashboards and presentations using HR metrics to tell clear and compelling stories.
  • Must possess Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) certification or must obtain within one (1) year of employment.
  • Must possess SHRM People Analytics Certification or must obtain within one (1) year of employment.
  • Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
  • Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
  • Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
