Job Description

Recruiting & Payroll Operations

Own headcount planning reconciliation and pipeline reporting for executive leadership.

Optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), automating hiring manager workflows and candidate communication templates.

Manage global and domestic payroll vendors, acting as the escalation point for vendor service delivery issues.

Administer comprehensive benefits programs, including voluntary benefits, health plans, and state/federal leave of absence (LOA) compliance.

Oversee complex international payroll and equity compliance, including local tax withholding and stock option considerations for global employees.

HR Systems & HRIS Administration

Serve as the primary system administrator for the company's HRIS, managing performance management modules, time-off tracking, HR action workflows, and onboarding/offboarding automation.

Lead global performance review cycles (self, manager, and multi-level calibration workflows) for a mid-sized, globally distributed workforce.

Manage data integrity and migrations across the HR tech stack, including integrations between the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), HRIS, and global payroll platforms.

Global Employment Infrastructure & Compliance

Oversee visa sponsorship support and immigration compliance, ensuring accurate job duty drafting, wage-level alignment, and coordination with external immigration counsel.

Lead HR infrastructure setup for new and existing international entities, including drafting localized labor contracts, offer letters, internal work regulations, and data consent agreements aligned with regional labor laws and data privacy standards.

Manage local legal counsel relationships to ensure compliance with country-specific statutory requirements (such as mandatory probation periods, localized social insurance programs, and statutory benefits).

Evaluate and manage international payroll and Employer of Record (EOR) vendor relationships to ensure seamless global operations.

Maintain audit-ready documentation for all corporate and employment compliance filings.

Employee Experience

Draft and publish clear, employee-facing communications, handbooks, and benefits guides tailored to diverse regional audiences.

Act as the primary point of contact for managers and employees regarding HR policies, systems navigation, and employee relations.

Qualifications

6-10+ years of relevant HR experience, ideally in a lean, fast-paced, or high-growth environment where you have operated with high autonomy.

Hands-on experience with global/multi-country HR operations, with a strong preference for candidates who have managed operations across multiple international regions.

Solid working knowledge of immigration and work visa processes, with experience partnering directly with external legal counsel.

Strong HRIS administration experience (familiarity with modern, mid-to-enterprise level HRIS and ATS platforms).

Proven track record of managing global payroll and third-party EOR/agency relationships.

Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft polished policies, executive reports, and company-wide communications with minimal oversight.

High comfort level with ambiguity and competing priorities; able to pivot smoothly between granular compliance work and high-level project management.

Experience in the technology, engineering, or specialized technical sectors is highly preferred.
