Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finance, Operations Manager to manage workforce operations supporting key initiatives across budgeting, financial planning, workforce management, purchasing, and contractor operations. This role partners with Finance, Product, Operations, and Procurement leaders to improve efficiency, optimize resource planning, and support strategic business priorities. The ideal candidate has worked in large enterprise environments and is analytical, organized, and process-driven. This role requires experience in budgeting and headcount allocation, contractor operations, financial planning, and business process improvement. This position requires someone comfortable working with financial data, budgets, and operational processes. This role requires all qualified candidates to live in the Denver, Colorado area and work on-site four days per week. This is a 6 month+ role. Candidates must be fully authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer. Please note that we do not work C2C.
Duties & Responsibilities
โ€ข Manage and support budgeting, forecasting, financial tracking, and expense management for operational initiatives.
โ€ข Analyze operational spending and provide reporting and insights to support strategic decision-making.
โ€ข Define and support headcount planning, resource allocation, and workforce management.
โ€ข Lead process improvement initiatives related to purchasing, procurement, and resource management.
โ€ข Identify and implement operational efficiencies that improve business processes and reduce administrative burden.
โ€ข Administer and support the contractor management system, ensuring accurate contractor records and compliance with company policies.
โ€ข Coordinate contractor onboarding, extensions, renewals, offboarding, and other lifecycle activities.
โ€ข Partner with Procurement, Finance, HR, vendors, and business leaders to support contractor operations and purchasing activities.
โ€ข Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
โ€ข Prepare presentations, analyses, and executive summaries for leadership.
โ€ข Maintain process documentation and ensure adherence to operational governance and established procedures.
Support strategic initiatives and provide administrative and operational support across multiple business functions.
Requirements
Qualification
โ€ข Minimum of 4-6+ years of experience in strategic operations, business analysis, finance, program management, or a related operational role.
โ€ข Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and expense tracking.
โ€ข Demonstrated experience improving business processes and driving operational efficiencies.
โ€ข Experience supporting purchasing, procurement, and headcount/resource planning initiatives.
โ€ข Experience administering or supporting a contractor or vendor management system, including contractor onboarding and lifecycle management.
โ€ข Telecommunications industry experience is strongly preferred.
โ€ข Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, Power Automate, and data analysis/automation techniques.
โ€ข Experience developing reports, dashboards, and process automations using Microsoft Excel and Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
โ€ข Familiarity with ERP, financial, or workforce management systems; SAP experience is a plus.
โ€ข Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
โ€ข Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, Operations, Procurement, HR, and executive leadership.
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Education/Certifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Compensation
Sand Cherry Associates is required by Colorado law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a 6-month long consulting opportunity with an annual salary range of $95,000-$125,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
