This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting related to used equipment operations, inventory accounting, and partnership accounting.

What You'll Do
As a Staff Accountant II, you will support the Accounting department by ensuring accurate financial reporting and performing detailed account analysis and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform accounting and reconciliation activities related to used machinery sales costing and inventory.
  • Prepare and reconcile Heavy Equipment Inventory Tax and Motor Vehicle Inventory Tax reports.
  • Reconcile Accounts Receivable, Notes Receivable, Bad Debt Allowance, accrual accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintain accounting records for partnership entities and assist with monthly close activities.
  • Analyze monthly used machinery and partnership gross profits and expenses.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide analysis to department leadership.
  • Identify discrepancies, research variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the Accounting department.
  • Perform additional accounting and financial analysis duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience.
  • Strong account reconciliation and financial analysis skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with inventory accounting.
  • Experience in dealership, construction, heavy equipment, or multi-location environments.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Experience working with partnership accounting and financial reporting.
