SUMMARYThe Operations Specialist position performs a number of functions integral to the operation of the Equipment Finance business for First Horizon Bank. The functions range from collateral follow up, payment posting, payoff generation, insurance follow up, funding review, keying wires for transaction fundings and providing assistance to EF Relationship Managers as well as internal and external clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Transaction funding review and key wires for transaction funding
- Assist with clearing loan exceptions, collateral exceptions, and past dues
- Provide assistance to internal and external clients in all areas of Equipment Finance
- Assist Accounting Manager with daily recons, month/quarter end activities
- Assist Asset Manager with end of terms, collateral management
- Rapport reviews
- Process payments and fees of commercial client contracts
- Prepare payoffs and communicate the same to clients as well as filing termination documentation as needed to release the bank’s security interest
- Research InfoLease system for assets for subordination requests
- Communicate with clients, attorney’s, insurance companies, title companies, and various other professionals
- Orders UCC searches, files UCCs and performs OFAC checks
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers/Credit Analysts, Loan Closers and outside legal to ensure satisfactory closing of loans to clients with supervision
- Cross-train on loan documentation/funding, reviewing documentation, and understanding of attorney prepared documents
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Commercial Bankers, Portfolio Managers/Credit Analysts to ensure satisfactory on-going monitoring of loans to clients with supervision
- Performs all other duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:
- High school diploma, associates/bachelor’s degree preferred, and at least 5 years of experience in banking and/or contract administration and payment processing
- Must be detail oriented and be able to reconcile payments and loan/lease balances to the general ledger. Strong working knowledge of lien perfection aspects of various equipment types.
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
