Firefly Children & Family Alliance is interviewing for a File Clerk in a contract position in Indianapolis, IN. The File Clerk will be responsible for scanning and maintaining all files within the CCDF Program. The File Clerk will file all client sequences and any changes made to client file. This person must have the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when filing and sorting.

As a File Clerk you will have the following job responsibilities:

General Clerical and Admin (70%)

  • Photocopying, faxing, filing and emailing
  • Maintain all files in alphabetical order for multiple county clients
  • File all sequences in client files
  • File all changes, report of change forms and any to the info pertinent to the client files
  • Pull all files during monitoring of files
  • Provide assistance with files during review for fraud and repayments
  • Work with State to box files each contract each year for delivery to State storage sight
  • Provide backup to specialist, administrative assistant and receptionist
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by the supervisor

Data Management and Tracking (30%)

  • Record and scan all files to the State of Indiana

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Knowledgeable regarding social system within the state
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Displays respect for and consistently follows confidentiality practices
  • Demonstrates appreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differences
  • Adept prioritizations and time management abilities

Working Conditions:

  • Heavy exposure to PC and phones
  • Weekly, monthly and annual deadlines
  • Daytime hours with some evenings as needed
  • Lifting and moving around boxes/files
