Responsibilities
The Radiology Receptionist/ File Clerk perform clerical duties for the Radiology Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients. Other duties include, but are not limited to, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. The Radiology Receptionist / File Clerk should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in Radiology. This person should demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner. Maneuvers through reception area, as well as, outside storage area. Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.

Education and Work Experience
  1. 1 year experience in receptionist work preferred.
  2. Knowledge of terminology of Radiology tests preferred.
  3. Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a High School diploma or Equivalent
