What you will do:
*QTS are seeking local candidates at this time (with 5-15 miles from QTS Headquarters in Granada Hills). Remote positions are not available.

The HR File Clerk is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and safeguarding employee records and confidential HR documentation in both physical and digital formats. This position plays a critical support role within the Human Resources department by ensuring that all employee files are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies and legal regulations. The HR File Clerk will also assist with data entry, document scanning, filing, and retrieval processes. Attention to detail, discretion, and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.
HR File Clerk Summary of Job Responsibilities: (Duties are subject but not limited to the followingโ€ฆ)
  • HR File Clerks should be able to organize, update, and maintain physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring proper storage and retrieval.
  • Process mail, scan, archive, and ensure the confidentiality of HR documents.
  • Update employee information in HR systems, maintain logs, and assist in report preparation.
  • HR File Clerks must ensure files comply with policies and regulations, and assist with audits.
  • Assist with administrative tasks like scheduling interviews and processing paperwork.
  • Coordinate with departments and respond to information requests.
  • Suggest improvements to filing systems and stay updated on best practices.
  • HR File Clerks should be able to perform clerical tasks, manage office supplies, and support HR communications.
  • Attending job fairs, school presentations, and other recruiting activities for support.
  • Assisting in social media marketing.
  • Assisting in prescreening candidates, scheduling interviews, and following up with candidate status.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required.
  • At least 1 year with administrative work and/or file maintenance.
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service preferred.
  • At least 6 months of HR experience or knowledge of study.
  • Excellent organizational, tracking, and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong leadership skills and initiative to work individually as well as with others.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, a plus.
  • Proficient in multiphone lines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Reliable source of transportation.
