Job description

Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Analyst

Position summary:

Administers, develops and researches the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).  Configures the system to meet ongoing business needs and generates reports to support HR functions.  The primary focus for this role will be to identify gaps, reconcile, maintain accuracy, generate reports and help analyze Human Resources data. He/she will perform routine system administration tasks, train users and create/execute processes to maintain data integrity of the HRIS.

This position requires solid organizational and analytical skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and familiarity with a Human Resources Information System; preferably Paycom or ADP Workforce Now.

AS HRIS Analyst I, you will be responsible for:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for the HRIS system
  • Serve as an escalation point for end-users who are experiencing difficulties with HRIS
  • Assist managers with processing Personnel Action Forms (PAF); assist employees with changing/updating personnel profile and/or payroll information
  • Develop and perform regular audits of HRIS
  • Create spreadsheets, tables and visual aids (e.g., bar graphs) to demonstrate data trends and format data for reporting
  • Develop, document and maintain system admin procedures, and employee resource guides
  • Recommend solutions to resolve identified issues
  • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting to employees including: handling technical errors and general questions pertaining to the HRIS, including manager access issues
  • Maintain the day to day functions of the HRIS
  • Manage HRIS by implementing and modifying system requirements to meet business needs
  • Assist the HR team with ad-hoc requests and other special projects as needed

Professional & Personal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. 
  • Experience using Paycom or ADP Workforce Now is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally and discreetly with extremely confidential information
  • Highly proficient in MS software; Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills, project management ability, and the ability to prioritize work
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Flexibility in daily schedule, and ability to understand and react quickly to changing priorities

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift to 5 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
  • Strong understanding of the NYC homeless shelter system (including working knowledge
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of New York State and City pay transparency laws.  Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individuals’ competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role. 

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $70,000.00 to $74,263.02
