Job description

The HRIS Assistant’s primary focus is the support of data entry into an HRIS system and compliance of the HRIS system and the HR Department. The HRIS Assistant also supports the compliance of HR forms, PTO, applicant tracking and electronic onboarding and other HR processes as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

  • Date entry of HR related information including PTO data into HRIS.
  • Provide support for HR including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRIS problems; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing internal and external customer needs.
  • Assist in the completion of various required reports including EEO-1, VET-1, etc.
  • Assist in the maintenance of various HR form types (e.g. fillable, etc.) to be used by HR staff and external clients.
  • Workflow testing and client support for Electronic Onboarding and ATS systems.
  • Assist with audit of HRIS system and onboarding system.
  • Assist in the set up and audit of PTO tables and PTO adjustments in HRIS.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent work experience.

Previous Work Experience

One to three years of systems experience or HR assistant experience.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementation. Strong attention to detail and understanding of HRMS database design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with databases tools. Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, and Word. Experience with an HRIS systems. HTML knowledge is a plus. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills. Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects. Bilingual preferred
