ABOUT THE ROLE
This entry-level position will be a member of our multi-disciplinary team and work under the direction of a project leader and licensed engineer. Projects include new construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, sports, corporate commercial and science and technology.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Participates in the preparation of construction documents and basic specifications of telecommunications systems for building construction.
  • Under direct supervision, may design telecommunication systems for healthcare, education/higher education and commercial clients, per applicable codes.
  • Develop ability to analyze engineering documents and layout systems in regard to components and parts with engineering oversight.
  • Under supervision develop knowledge of applicable codes for the application of telecommunication design.
  • Recommend improvements with reference standards and processes to improve quality, coordination, and to streamline production efforts.
  • Assists in the review and markup of shop drawings and submittals.
  • Assists in gathering information to respond to RFI's and review of change orders in the preparation of construction documents.
  • Assists in visiting job site to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.
  • May perform other duties as required.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering required by hire date. Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program preferred.
  • EIT/FE preferred.
  • Related student internship work experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
  • Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Navisworks or similar applications) preferred.

The salary range for this position to be filled in the Buffalo, NY or Chicago, IL office is $26.67 to $33.34 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. We have paid time off, flex-time schedules, remote work options and a 401k plan and employee perk programs.
