Position Summary
The Part-Time HR Specialist supports core HR operations for Exhibitus’ Woburn office, ensuring smooth daily HR processes and a consistent, positive employee experience. This role is responsible for recruiting support, onboarding, HR administration, compliance, employee relations assistance, and general HR coordination. Ideal for an experienced HR professional seeking part-time work in a dynamic, creative environment; this position requires exceptional professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
This is an on-site role, 25 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting amp; Onboarding
  • Assist with sourcing, job postings, resume screening, and candidate scheduling.
  • Conduct professional communication with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Complete pre-employment steps including background checks and paperwork.
  • Prepare new hire welcome materials and workstation setup.
  • Facilitate Day 1 onboarding and orientation activities.
HR Operations amp; Employee Support
  • Serve as an onsite HR point of contact for employees.
  • Maintain HRIS records, personnel files, and compliance documentation.
  • Support benefits enrollment assistance and employee questions.
  • Assist with engagement initiatives, event logistics, and recognition programs.
  • Coordinate internal training, policy acknowledgments, and HR communications.
Compliance amp; Documentation
  • Maintain confidential employee files consistent with HR best practices.
  • Support FMLA, ADA, and leave tracking where appropriate.
  • Assist with audits, HR reporting, and compliance checks.
  • Ensure consistent application of policies and support HR Manager with investigations as needed.
Additional Duties
  • Support performance review cycles and internal communications.
  • Assist with payroll/timekeeping checks and corrections before processing.
  • Participate in HR process improvements and special projects.
  • Provide event support for office-based activities and culture-building events.
Qualifications
Required
  • 3+ years of HR experience (generalist, specialist, or coordinator level).
  • Working knowledge of HR policies, employment law basics, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS/ATS systems and maintaining employee records.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support employees with professionalism.
  • Comfortable working on-site in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
Preferred
  • Experience in marketing, creative, design, or experiential environments.
  • Payroll/timekeeping platform experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations or distributed teams.
