We are growing and seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Tax Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, helping clients, and being part of a collaborative team.


Position Overview

The Bookkeeper/Tax Administrator will primarily support our business clients with ongoing bookkeeping while also assisting our tax team with administrative and tax-season responsibilities.


The ideal candidate is accurate, organized, dependable, and comfortable communicating directly with clients. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bookkeeping and wants exposure to tax and accounting within a growing firm.


Primary Responsibilities


Bookkeeping

  • Perform ongoing bookkeeping for business clients
  • Categorize transactions and maintain accurate financial records
  • Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information
  • Communicate with clients to obtain information and answer bookkeeping questions
  • Assist with month-end and year-end bookkeeping


Tax & Administrative Support

  • Collect, organize, and track client tax documents
  • Maintain client information and tax workflow statuses
  • Follow up with clients for outstanding information
  • Assist with tax return processing, e-filing, extensions, and other tax-season processes
  • Support the tax team with administrative and entry-level tax work as needed
  • Track deadlines and assigned tasks through completion


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting support, or related experience preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, dependable, and comfortable working directly with clients
  • Tax or public accounting experience is a plus but not required
