About Alias Cybersecurity

Alias Cybersecurity is a technology consulting and cybersecurity firm helping organizations strengthen security, reduce risk, and adopt emerging technologies. We serve commercial, government, and critical infrastructure clients while continuing to expand into new markets and solutions.

We are seeking an Accounting & Operations Specialist to support our financial operations, reporting, invoicing, collections, vendor management, and day-to-day business administration. This position will work closely with company leadership and play an important role in supporting our continued growth.



Position Summary

The Accounting & Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and operational administrative functions of the company. This includes invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budget tracking, financial reporting support, vendor coordination, and general business operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced small business environment where they can make a meaningful impact.


Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 Annually


Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Administration

  • Generate and distribute customer invoices
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Process vendor invoices and manage accounts payable
  • Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks
  • Reconcile bank and credit card transactions
  • Assist with budget preparation and budget tracking
  • Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports
  • Support month-end and year-end accounting activities
  • Coordinate with external CPA and bookkeeping partners

Operations Administration

  • Support contract and vendor management activities
  • Track project-related expenses and budgets
  • Maintain business records and documentation
  • Assist with employee onboarding and administrative functions
  • Support procurement and purchasing activities
  • Help maintain operational processes and internal documentation
  • Coordinate administrative support for leadership as needed

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare budget-versus-actual reporting
  • Monitor cash flow and financial commitments
  • Create operational and financial reports for leadership review
  • Assist with investor, lender, or due diligence requests
  • Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy

QualificationsRequired

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration experience
  • Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities independently

Preferred

  • Experience working in a small business environment
  • Familiarity with professional services, consulting, or technology companies
  • Experience supporting budgeting and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of government contracting environments is a plus
