Job description

Description

Fervo Energy is advancing the next generation of geothermal energy to deliver 24/7 carbon-free power at scale. We combine subsurface engineering, horizontal drilling, and real-time data systems to unlock a clean, reliable energy resource that can meet global demand.

Fervo is growing across technical, operational, and corporate functions, and the quality of our hiring directly shapes our ability to execute. This role sits within a small, high-output Talent Acquisition team and reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

The Recruiter owns full-cycle recruiting for an assigned portfolio of roles across Fervo's business, partnering closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, build targeted sourcing strategies, and move qualified candidates efficiently through the process. You will manage requisitions from intake through offer, with accountability for candidate experience, process integrity, and time-to-fill at every stage.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You will represent Fervo externally at career fairs and networking events, maintain pipeline for hard-to-fill roles, and support offer management and onboarding coordination in partnership with the broader People Operations team.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for technical, operational, and corporate roles using job boards, LinkedIn, networking events, employee referrals, and other channels.
  • Build and maintain active pipelines for current and anticipated openings, with particular attention to hard-to-fill or specialized roles.
  • Represent Fervo at career fairs, university events, and professional networking opportunities to build brand awareness and candidate interest.

Screening & Interview Coordination

  • Review applications and conduct initial phone screens to assess qualifications, experience, and fit against role requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and interview panels, ensuring a smooth and professional candidate experience at every touchpoint.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with candidates throughout the process, providing updates and managing expectations.

Hiring Manager Partnership

  • Partner with hiring managers at intake to align on role requirements, candidate profile, and process structure before requisitions go live.
  • Provide guidance on interview techniques, structured evaluation, and candidate assessment throughout the process.
  • Keep hiring managers informed with regular pipeline updates and flag process risks early

Offer Management & Onboarding

  • Support offer construction and extension in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Manager, including compensation framing and negotiation.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics with People Operations to ensure a clean handoff and smooth new hire transition.
  • Maintain accurate requisition and candidate data in the ATS throughout the full recruiting lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or a similarly technical environment
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active requisitions simultaneously
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills with a strong candidate experience orientation
  • Ability to work onsite at Fervo's downtown Houston office a minimum of 3 days per week

Preferred

  • Experience recruiting for technical or engineering roles in the energy sector
  • Familiarity with compensation benchmarking tools and offer construction
  • Experience supporting or coordinating onboarding programs in partnership with an HR or People Operations function
  • Comfort working in a lean, fast-moving environment where process ownership and self-direction are expected
