Construction Quality Assurance Inspector

About the role

Peregrine Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team in Washington, D.C. This is a full-time, onsite position responsible for ensuring compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and best construction practices across all phases of construction.

What you'll do
  • Ensure 3-Phase Quality Control construction management process is implemented and followed throughout active construction phases and close-out.
  • Provide daily onsite field inspection of construction activities to ensure work is performed in compliance with contract documents, specifications, approved drawings, and applicable codes.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of completed work to verify adherence to quality workmanship and material standards.
  • Monitor and document construction milestones, phasing/sequencing, and critical path activities.
  • Generate detailed daily field reports, including photos, progress notes, discrepancies, and corrective actions, and upload them to the appropriate project management system (eBuilder, Kahua, Prolog, Procore, etc.).
  • Support QA Manager with punch list development and verification of completed work for monthly pay applications.
  • Verify and track materials delivered and stored onsite and offsite.
  • Monitor site safety practices and cleanliness in coordination with the General Contractor and report any deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and inspectors to facilitate issue resolution and maintain project momentum.
  • Capture and manage pre-construction, progress, and post-construction photos.
  • Assist with reviewing submittals, mock-ups, and as-built documentation.
Qualifications
  • 5+ Years with $50M+ Construction projects; public sector, historic renovations, commercial construction and renovation experience required.
  • Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • OSHA-30 certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience with oversight of Architectural component installation, design/spec reviews, and material take-offs.
  • Strong familiarity with construction codes, materials, and USACE 3-phase quality control process.
  • Proven ability to identify and communicate issues related to workmanship, material quality, and specification compliance.
  • Proficiency with construction project management systems (Prolog, Procore, eBuilder, Kahua).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to obtain an HSPD-12 or specific government agency badge as required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work full-time onsite.

Pay Range
