Responsibilities:
  • 1. Overseeing all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • 2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances once finalized.
  • 3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • 4. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • 5. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • 6. Conducting timely and detailed reviews of all financial reports and ensuring they comply with GAAP.
  • 7. Collaborating with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of our company.
Qualifications:
  • 1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA certification being highly preferred.
  • 2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in an accounting leadership role.
  • 3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, with experience in creating financial statements.
  • 4. Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • 5. Experience with general ledger functions, the month-end/year-end close process, and forecasting and budgeting.
  • 6. Strong skills in variance analysis and logistics management.
  • 7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
  • 8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • 9. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
