Job Description

RadOnc Technical Support Tier 1 is responsible for providing tier 1 IT technical support for employees, faculty, office assistant staff, students, researchers, therapists, physicists, dosimetrist, nursing, physician, and administrators within the Radiation Oncology department.

Position leads in identifying, troubleshooting, and providing outstanding customer support at an advanced technical level for issues with computing systems, printers, peripherals, operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux), and deployments. Partners with tier 2 and 3 technical support engineers to resolve complex technical issues requiring escalation.

Provides RadOnc specialized hardware and middleware support and administration for Radiation Oncology information system (Aria), network and telephony support, and additional support for messaging, desktop operating systems, directory services and security, and support of other RadOnc specific treatment hardware, medical devices, and applications used by the Radiation Oncology.

Meets all compliance and reporting requirements for the University, Medical Center, and Cancer Center; adheres to the strict security standards and policies set by the University; assists in ensuring audit and inventory compliance for Radiation Oncology; thoroughly creates documentation for processes and procedures utilized by the department end users.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Experience providing technical support and working with desktop hardware/software, operating systems, networks, telephony, messaging, and printing environments desired. Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Wintel hardware preferred.
