At Vanguard, Corporate Strategy is a critical enterprise-wide function that proactively shapes Vanguard's strategic agenda and develops future leaders of the firm. Our department's mission is to serve Vanguard's senior leadership with objective high-quality intelligence, analysis, and strategic options to address complex enterprise challenges. We are hiring for our Strategic Consulting team which provides strategic analysis and decision support to senior leaders.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead workstreams on high visibility strategy projects. Partner closely with senior stakeholders across the enterprise to shape recommendations and execute the work.
  • Develop complex strategic analyses. Consult independently with internal clients to define the business problem, issues, and planned approach for research and analyses. Lead work planning and business problem diagnosis, coaching less experienced corporate strategy analysts in best practices and building business acumen.
  • Interpret and analyze highly complex data using business acumen in order to derive key insights. Verify the quality, accuracy, and reasonableness of the data. Display, organize, and craft data into a compelling storyline with actionable insight for the client.
  • Synthesize analyses, key findings, and potential solutions into actionable recommendations. Work with senior managers to prepare and deliver materials, including client presentations, white papers, case studies, etc.
  • Stay abreast of industry, market, and competitive trends. Support efforts to keep the senior management team informed of key industry, competitive, and product trends. Recommend new and enhanced capabilities and services.
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-8 years business experience, including significant experience in strategy consulting and / or analytical or financially oriented roles.
  • Extensive experience with both conceptual and analytical problem solving.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management required.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, fast-paced workstreams.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite required.
  • Financial Services experience preferred.
  • Client service experience preferred.
