Job description

Job Title: Controller
Reports To: Director of Operations
Department: Accounting
Location: Mason, Ohio
General Function:
To maximize profitability of the plant, insuring the safety of assets, financial reporting and place proper controls in place.
Job Duties:
  • Plans and controls activities of department and staff.
  • Participates in developing plant budgets, goals, objectives and systems.
  • Manage daily accounting functions, and provides analysis of manufacturing costs, variances and operational performance.
  • Monitoring budgets and works in conjunction with staff members to exercise budgetary restraints.
  • Provide assistance to staff in regards to establishing and monitoring effective product cost system.
  • Actively participates in daily production meeting, executive safety member, continuous improvement and management review.
  • AD-HOC financial reporting as needed.
  • Follow company policies, company safety policies and practice safe work habits.
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:
Office environment with frequent exposure to manufacturing environment
Physical Component(s)
Standing and walking 15% of work time.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years experience in accounting / finance responsibility. Manufacturing experience a plus

  • Strong managerial skills with ability to interface with internal and external customers and senior management.
  • Excellent Analytical and general business skills.
  • Display independent judgment and initiative.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft work, excel, access and power point and general accounting software.
  • Good presentation skills both oral and written
