Job description

General Summary:

ConnectWise is seeking an exceptional leader to oversee our enterprise data ecosystem and drive the next generation of data-driven decision making. The Director of Data Services & Analytics will own the end-to-end data lifecycle โ€” from infrastructure and pipelines to advanced analytics, financial modeling, and AI/ML initiatives.

This leader will shape how ConnectWise leverages data to guide strategic priorities, enable SaaS metric-driven insights, and transform business cases into scalable execution. The ideal candidate is a proven data visionary who combines technical depth with business acumen, and thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Data Ecosystem Ownership
  • Lead the architecture, development, and governance of ConnectWiseโ€™s enterprise data warehouse, pipelines, integrations, and analytics platforms.
  • Ensure a modern, scalable data infrastructure with Snowflake at its core, supported by best-in-class tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, ADF).
  • Oversee system performance, data quality, and reliability for critical business operations.
Advanced Analytics & AI/ML
  • Build and operationalize AI/ML models that improve forecasting, customer insights, partner retention, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Finance, Product, and Operations to deploy predictive and prescriptive analytics that drive measurable impact.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging tools such as Google Vertex AI, Azure ML, or Palantir Foundry to expand capabilities.
Business Alignment & SaaS Metrics
  • Connect strategic business cases to data execution โ€” translating executive priorities into measurable data initiatives.
  • Build financial and operational models tied to SaaS KPIs (GRR, NRR, LTV/CAC, churn analysis, pricing elasticity).
  • Partner with FP&A and Corporate Strategy to ensure insights directly support growth, profitability, and long-term value creation.
Leadership & Influence
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and data scientists.
  • Act as the executive thought partner for data strategy, influencing the ELT and board-level discussions with fact-based insights.
  • Establish data as a competitive advantage and cultural foundation across the company.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or related functions, with at least 5 years in SaaS or technology businesses.
  • Deep expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, and dbt.
  • Strong knowledge of Airflow and other modern orchestration tools; experience with ML platforms (Vertex AI, Azure, Palantir Foundry) preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling enterprise-grade data platforms that integrate multiple data sources (ERP, CRM, billing, product telemetry, etc.) into a single source of truth.
  • Handsโ€‘on experience designing and optimizing data models for both financial analysis and SaaS operational metrics.
  • Proven track record implementing AI/ML models that deliver measurable business outcomes (e.g., churn prediction, pricing optimization, forecasting).
  • Strong grounding in SaaS business models and metrics; ability to translate between technical execution and strategic financial impact.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and storytelling skills โ€” able to distill technical complexity into actionable insights for executives and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels, from technical teams to board-level discussions.
