System Administrator (MSP / Hybrid WFH)

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Work Model: Local WFH with planned weekly client visits

Salary: $100,000 to $110,000

Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST

MSP Experience: Required

Must live in the Los Angeles area

We are a people first Managed Services Provider hiring a System Administrator to support proactive client environment alignment, documentation, and infrastructure improvement across Los Angeles area clients.


This is not a traditional ticket queue role. It is a strong fit for an MSP professional who enjoys working across client environments, identifying risks before they become recurring issues, and helping clients improve the stability, security, and performance of their IT environments.


You will work from home locally while supporting planned weekly client visits across Los Angeles.


What Makes This Role Different

Instead of spending every day reacting to tickets, you will focus on proactive standards alignment, technical audits, client documentation, environment reviews, and long term improvement.


You will review client networks, servers, endpoints, Microsoft 365 environments, RMM data, security configurations, and documentation to identify misalignments before they create downtime, security risk, or avoidable support volume.


The right person has strong MSP infrastructure experience, excellent documentation habits, and the ability to explain technical findings in a way clients can understand.


What You Will Work On

• Review client LAN, WAN, servers, endpoints, security settings, and infrastructure configurations against documented standards

• Identify misalignments, risks, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities across client environments

• Lead client service day activities, technical checklists, environment walkthroughs, and alignment reviews

• Build and maintain documentation in IT Glue, SharePoint, SOPs, client runbooks, checklists, and technical libraries

• Translate technical findings into clear client facing recommendations tied to security, stability, productivity, and ROI

• Partner with service, engineering, and client strategy teams to improve environment health and reduce reactive ticket volume

• Use Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and automation tools to summarize findings, improve documentation, and streamline reporting

• Support planned weekly client visits across Los Angeles


What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of hands on infrastructure experience in an MSP environment

• Strong experience across LAN, WAN, servers, endpoints, RMM tools, security tools, and client infrastructure

• Ability to benchmark technical environments against documented standards and identify gaps, risks, and misalignments

• Strong Microsoft 365, endpoint, networking, server, documentation, and security fundamentals

• Experience creating SOPs, checklists, client runbooks, technical documentation, and environment records

• Ability to communicate technical risk and business impact clearly to clients

• Strong organization, follow through, documentation discipline, and client service skills

• Reliable transportation for planned client visits across the Los Angeles area

• Must live in the Los Angeles area


Experience That Helps

• Experience with myITprocess, Lifecycle Insights, vCIO Toolbox, or similar alignment platforms

• ConnectWise suite experience

• CompTIA Network+, Security+, or related certifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

• Experience supporting technology roadmaps, vCIO processes, strategic account management, or proactive client alignment


Compensation and Benefits

• $100,000 to $110,000 base salary
