Job description

CLIENT SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE
Location: Richmond, VA
Department: Client Services
OVERVIEW:
This full time, non-exempt position will primarily provide administrative, technical and sales support for the investment department including assignments to assist our internal and external clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Answering phones on a client service desk
  • Providing backup on the reception desk
  • Helping clients to understand and log in to their Davenport Online accounts
  • Assisting with all forms of account paperwork
  • Following compliance policies and industry regulations
  • Processing mail merges
  • Working with internal service departments including Operations, New Accounts, Portfolio Services, Financial Services, and Research, among others
  • Assisting Financial Advisors with Client Reports, Salesforce, Quote Screen Support, Research Reports, and other items as needed
  • Travel may be required on occasion

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College degree and/or related industry experience
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses must be obtained within 1 year of date of hire
  • Highly motivated with positive and professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Extremely well-organized, detail oriented and accurate; must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks as business needs change within the department
  • Ability to learn and master computer programs that house customer data
  • Ability to understand and adhere to industry rules and regulations
  • Basic bookkeeping skills and record keeping ability
