IR Eats is a ministry of Indian Rocks Baptist Church. Our mission is to serve delicious food at an affordable cost, helping those in need, creating community and help develop promise, passion and purpose to each generation.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Part-Time Line Cook to support our Head Chef in the daily kitchen operations. This position is ideal for someone with some culinary experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for cooking. As a Line Cook, you will be a crucial part of our kitchen team, assisting in the preparation of high-quality dishes and contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

  • Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry.
  • Support the Head Chef in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, cutting meats, and preparing ingredients according to the day’s prep sheet.
  • Prepare and cook menu items following standard recipes, ensuring quality, consistency, and taste in every dish.
  • Help maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness, adhering to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations, including food presentation and plating.
  • Monitor and label food inventory, ensuring proper storage and reducing waste.
  • Participate in brainstorming new menu items, specials, and promotions alongside the Head Chef.
  • Work in cooperation with all levels of management, support staff, personnel, church leaders, volunteers, members and guests to fulfil the mission of Indian Rocks


Requirements:


  • Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting is ideal but not required. Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with a willingness to take direction and adapt as needed.
  • Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a heart for serving others.
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks Church
  • Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined by: Regular attendance in worship service, Regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, Commitment to systematic stewardship and faithful in tithing.
  • Responsible to perform the other duties as assigned and approved by supervising personnel to include, but not limited to: Lead Pastor, Church Administrator, Associate Pastors, Generations Pastor or Personnel Committee
