Concordia Hospice of Washington is a partnership between Concordia Community Support Services and Washington Health System that offers both quality home care and inpatient hospice end-of-life care. Concordia Hospice of Washington serves our patients in Washington and Greene counties with the focus to provide services that offer comfort, peace, and dignity for those with incurable illnesses and for their families. Spiritual Care Coordinator

At Concordia Hospice of Washington, faith is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that spiritual care is an essential part of hospice - offering peace, comfort, and hope when they're needed most. We are seeking a part-time Hospice Pastor who feels called to serve, bringing compassion, prayer, and faith-based support to our patients and their loved ones.
What you'll do as Spiritual Care Coordinator:

  • Provide spiritual care, prayer, and emotional support to patients and families grounded in the Christian faith, while showing respect and understanding toward all beliefs.
  • Offer presence, comfort, and encouragement through scripture, conversation, and listening hearts.
  • Work closely with the hospice team - including nurses, social workers, and volunteers - to meet the spiritual needs of each patient and family.
  • Lead or assist with memorial services, bedside prayers, and family support as needed.
  • Serve as a comforting presence during times of transition, helping families find peace and reassurance through faith.
