POSITION OVERVIEW


St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church seeks a highly organized, mission-driven Parish Administrator to oversee the day to day administrative and operational life of the parish.

Working closely with the Pastor, the Parish Administrator helps ensure that parish life runs smoothly and consistently so that clergy, staff, ministries, and volunteers are supported in carrying out the mission of the Church. This role requires a mature, dependable leader, who possesses excellent organizational skills, outstanding time management capabilities, lots of detailed project management experience, and who can coordinate many moving parts with professionalism, warmth, attention to detail, and strong follow-through.

The ideal candidate is preferably a practicing Catholic who understands parish life, communicates well with people, and brings both organizational strength and pastoral sensitivity to the work of the Church.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


Parish Operations & Administration:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the parish office, including scheduling, communications, and administrative coordination.
  • Meets Parish deadlines and project management schedules on a weekly and monthly basis.

QUALIFICATIONS


โ€ข Prefer a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who supports the mission and teachings of the Catholic faith
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
โ€ข 3โ€“5 years of experience in administration, office management, parish operations, nonprofit administration, or related leadership roles
โ€ข Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to time management, details, and follow-through

โ€ข Professional discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
โ€ข Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, volunteers, and parishioners
โ€ข Proficiency in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
โ€ข Ability to work effectively in a faith-based and service-oriented environment

Work Environment & Expectations

โ€ข Occasional evenings and weekends required for parish events and liturgical activities
