Business Administrator Associate
Englewood Methodist Church
Englewood, Florida
The Business Administrator Associate is a part-time church support leadership position, working directly under the supervision of the Business Administrator.
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank statement and QuickBooks.  Update monthly budget reports for Business Administrator
  • Prepare monthly budget reports for team leaders responsible for programs within the approved budget
  • Reviews invoices for accuracy, process weekly check requests and manage accounts payable.  Including processing online monthly payments
  • Records journal entries
  • Provides support for each electronic payment or physical check and makes the support available to the check signers
  • Maintain paperless filing system by scanning, indexing, and organizing vendor invoices, financial records, and human resources documentation for efficient and retrieval compliance
  • Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements for payment
  • Maintain the organization’s accounting records including maintaining chart of accounts; in QuickBooks & Planning Center
  • Ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded and processed according to established procedures and laws
  • Manage internal money transfers between the church and the preschool; payroll charges, benefits and contributions
  • Process monthly contributions files; ACH, Stripe and PayPal in QuickBooks and Planning Center
  • Maintains and reconciled petty cash
  • Maintains the church’s financial records
  • Process Manager approved bi-weekly payroll (Church & School)
  • Reconcile and process for payment monthly health benefits
  • Assist the Business Administrator with onboarding & offboarding employees
  • Maintain the benefits program for employees; EASE software system.  Including adding and removing employees and open enrollment changes
  • Working with the counters on Monday to ensure proper contribution management
  •  Accurate donor entries into the Planning Center program
  • Assist volunteer counters’
  • Process checks deposits
  • Verify cash deposits
  • Process journal entries into QuickBooks
  • Maintains electronic and physical donor records
  • Process mid-year and annual giving statements for congregants
