Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager for the Church Home in Fort Valley, GA.  Church Home, a Lifespring Community, is a warm and friendly senior community set on a beautifully landscapes property.  Celebrating over 80 years of not-for-profit service and excellence in Middle Georgia.

The Chef Manager will be a hands-on, working chef.  The right person for this role loves to be side by side with the team making quality dishes for the residents on a daily basis.  You will provide culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  

What You'll Do
  • Coordinate and implement the culinary function on a daily basis 
  • Be responsible for all food production, catering, and retail management experience
  • Train and direct the cooks and dietary team daily 
  • Inventory management, on-line ordering
  • Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
  • Manage food & physical safety programs.
