Job Purpose


The Business Advisor serves as a trusted client advisor, guiding business owners through complex financial, asset protection, and entity-structuring considerations. This role is ideal for professionals with strong analytical, counseling, and persuasion skills who enjoy advising clients, diagnosing risk, and recommending tailored solutions  without billable hours or traditional legal practice constraints. 

The Advisor works with prospective clients from initial consultation through decision-making, ensuring a high standard of professionalism, ethical guidance, and client service throughout the engagement. 


Key Responsibilities

Client Consultation

  • Conduct structured strategy sessions with prospective clients to evaluate their business, assets, and risk exposure.
  • Identify client goals, constraints, and priorities through consultative questioning and issue-spotting techniques.
  • Work with prospects who have engaged through Partner-led virtual events or educational content (no cold calling involved).

Client Consultation & Sales Strategy

  • Conduct structured, high-value strategy sessions with prospective clients to diagnose risk exposure, evaluate business and asset needs, and qualify the client as a high-potential sales opportunity.
  • Employ consultative selling and issue-spotting techniques to deeply identify client goals, financial constraints, and priorities, mapping their needs to the firm's core service offerings.
  • Skillfully convert inbound leads generated through Partner-led virtual events or educational content into active engagements by clearly presenting the value of tailored solutions (no cold calling involved).
  • Drive the advisory and decision-making process by articulating a clear "next step" and moving the client toward commitment.

Knowledge and Learning

  • Complete initial training and obtain the Anderson Business Advisor Certification.
  • Maintain working knowledge of asset protection strategies, entity structuring concepts, and business advisory frameworks.
  • Attend company virtual events and stay current on Partner educational content, including YouTube and podcast materials.

Asset Protection Blueprint

  • Develop an initial, customized asset protection blueprint aligned with each client’s facts, objectives, and risk profile.
  • Guide clients through the advisory and decision-making process, clearly explaining available services and solutions.
  • Address client questions with clarity, accuracy, and professional judgment.

Client Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with Senior Advisors or Strategists for complex matters requiring advanced structuring or deeper expertise.
  • Maintain ongoing client relationships with responsiveness, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Document client interactions, analysis, and next steps accurately in Salesforce.

Performance and Goals

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly performance objectives aligned with company goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inside sales, advisory, consulting, financial services, insurance, banking, legal services, or other professional services environments.
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes some Saturdays.
  • Proficiency with G Suite (Gmail, Slides, Docs, Sheets) and Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, client counseling, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent, analytical thinker with the ability to learn quickly and manage complexity.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide clients through decision-making using discovery, persuasion, and closing techniques.
  • Collaborative, driven, and performance-oriented mindset.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • JD, pre-law background, or experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory environments strongly considered.
  • Additional certifications or coursework related to financial services, business advisory, or risk management.
