Position Overview

The Beverage Manager is a key member of the senior FOH leadership team, partnering closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to execute a bestinclass beverage experience. This role oversees daily bar operations, profitability, training, and the development of a highvolume craft cocktail program that reflects brand identity, seasonality, efficiency, and exceptional execution.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fastpaced, highvolume environment, has a passion for creative cocktail design, leads by example, and excels at building strong, hospitalitydriven teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Culture

  • Embody and model Oxford Commons core values: Be Humble, Do Whatever It Takes, Stay Curious, Create Connections
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate bartenders and FOH staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop bar team members
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and deliver clear coaching and progressive discipline as needed

Beverage Program Management

  • Curate and maintain seasonal craft cocktail menus aligned with brand standards and guest trends
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in cocktail recipes, builds, techniques, and presentations
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and manage product placements in line with brand expectations
  • Oversee weekly and biweekly beverage ordering, inventory management, and cost control
  • Analyze beverage sales, identify opportunities, and implement strategies to improve revenue and profitability

HighVolume Operations

  • Drive bar execution with an emphasis on speed, organization, and quality
  • Ensure seamless coordination between FOH and BOH teams
  • Support floor operations as needed, maintaining a strong presence during peak service
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organizational standards across all bar areas
  • Schedule bar staff effectively to balance labor costs and service expectations
  • Uphold all health department standards and operational compliance

Communication & Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with FOH leadership, BOH teams, and company partners
  • Support planning and execution of private dining and special events
  • Contribute operational insights and recommendations to enhance service, efficiency, and brand integrity

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in a beverage leadership role within a highvolume craft cocktail environment
  • Strong background in seasonal menu development, efficient workflow design, and fast craft cocktail production
  • Sommelier certification is a plus
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teambuilding skills
  • Strong understanding of cost control, inventory systems, and industry trends
  • Effective time management and ability to perform under pressure
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Comfortable working in environments with occasional heat or cold exposure
