We are currently seeking an AssociateProject Accountant for our Miami Signature Bridge project, inMiami, FL.

The Associate Project Accountant position provides accounting assistance to project management teams and reports to the Project Cost Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audit monthly subcontractor and major supplier invoices and ensure that all invoices have been accrued properly to the correct cost reports and phase codes.
  • Review monthly job cost, create and input journal entries as directed.
  • Provide assistance to project managers in the preparation of monthly forecast changes.
  • Handle all internal communications in a professional and expedient manner.
  • Assist in providing documentation for internal and external reporting and routine audits.
  • Assist change order team in collection of backup documentation.
  • Work independently on special projects related to job cost.
  • Update indirect cost quantities monthly.
  • Create spreadsheet analysis of major cost items as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is required
  • Minimum of 1 years of prior experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Candidates should have knowledge of construction job costing, and experience dealing with monthly reporting, and reviewing vendor invoices.
  • The position requires a strong excel and ability to learn other computer software.
  • The Project Accountant should be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task
