Technical Project Manager โ€“ Software Development

Location: Miami, FL (Onsite โ€“ 4 days/week) local or ready to relocate candidate preferred

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and delivery-focused Technical Project Manager to lead software development initiatives across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality products on time, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has a proven ability to coordinate stakeholders, manage risks, and drive execution from concept to release. This role requires strong technical acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to influence teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define program goals, deliverables, schedules, milestones, and critical paths for multiple medium- to high-complexity projects aligned with business and strategic objectives.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery within scope and quality standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, QA, Product, Design, DevOps, and Business stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Drive alignment across teams, manage dependencies, and secure commitment from stakeholders to meet delivery timelines.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, proactively identify risks, resolve blockers, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain clear visibility into product timelines, resource allocation, and project dependencies while ensuring smooth communication across teams.
  • Create executive updates, status reports, retrospectives, and performance summaries using data-driven insights and storytelling techniques.
  • Monitor project health using Jira dashboards, reports, and metrics to identify bottlenecks and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Continuously improve development processes, Agile practices, and delivery workflows to enhance speed, scalability, and product quality.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, automation, and agentic workflows, and identify opportunities to apply them within project delivery and operational processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones, ensuring clear handoffs and timely communication.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 6+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or Project Management within software development environments.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), system design principles, cloud infrastructure, and software delivery practices.
  • Solid knowledge of iOS and Android ecosystems, including native app development, app release management, and hybrid/webview architectures.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on schedule.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Advanced proficiency with Jira, including reporting, dashboard creation, bottleneck analysis, and delivery tracking.
  • Technical understanding of API integrations, API testing, and software architecture concepts.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative, and globally distributed environments.
