Hardy Corporation, a mechanical service contractor for over 75 years, has an opportunity for an Assistant Controller to join our team, reporting to the Controller.

Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of the monthly close and reconciliation process to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting package to Controller
  • Lead bi-weekly and quarterly accounting team meetings using EOS/L10 structure
  • Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve accounting issues
  • Maintain accountability for balance sheet integrity and cash accuracy
  • Assist with job cost analysis, WIP schedules, and project financial reviews
  • Support construction-related accounting processes including retainage and contract billing/collections
  • Filing state and federal taxes monthly, quarterly, yearly
  • Process yearly W-2 forms, 1099 and 1095's
  • Preparing Year End Financials, working closely with outside CPA
  • Assist with Monthly Forecasting and Annual Budget
  • Assisting the Controller as needed

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Construction Accounting background preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Experience with Spectrum/Viewpoint or construction ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Willing to adjust for departmental workload changes
  • Ability to work efficiently and multitask
