Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller

Currently seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work within deadlines


Assist the Controller with:

• Reconcile and record accounts payable invoices and monthly credit card statements, process weekly payable checks and/or EFT.

• Prepare detailed billing summaries, tracking customer purchase orders, and timely accurate invoicing upon job completion.

• Track and properly record employee travel expenses (flights, rental cars, room/board).

• Bank account reconciliations, journal entries, job cost adjustments, monthly close, prepare inhouse monthly financial statements.

• Review new hire paperwork and report new hires. Maintain employee data information in various spreadsheets to track wages, hours, insurance, 401K, etc.

• Backup assistance to Payroll as needed.

• Prepare year-end financial information for CPA.


Other Requirements:

• Full-time, permanent position. Office hours M-F 8-5, overtime may be required.

• Must be proficient with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.

• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

• Must be professional and courteous with employees/vendors/outside services.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Must have a BS/BA in Business, Accounting or Finance.

• Minimum seven years accounting experience.

• Prior construction experience preferred, with working knowledge of Sage 300CRE.
