ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

Works Closely With: CEO and External/Consulting Controller
Location: Huntsville, AL
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
LSINC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Controller to manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations and ensure leadership has accurate, timely, and dependable financial information.
This person will work closely with leadership and our external/consulting Controller. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial data, completing reconciliations and close activities, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring the information provided to leadership and the Controller is accurate and complete.
A significant near-term priority will be supporting the successful implementation and stabilization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Key Responsibilities

  • anage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain an accurate general ledger.

  • wn the internal month-end close process and account reconciliations.

  • upport accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash-management activities.

  • repare financial statements, schedules, and supporting information for leadership and the Controller.

  • aintain budget-to-actual reporting and assist with forecasting and cash-flow projections.

  • dentify and investigate financial discrepancies and unusual variances.
