We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of an automotive dealership. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all accounting functions, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive financial strategy to support business growth. Your expertise will help maintain accurate financial records, streamline reporting processes, and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity. The Controller is responsible for managing all financial and accounting operations for the dealership. This includes cash flow, reconciliations, financial statements, payroll, compliance, expense management, and collaboration with management and external partners. The Controller ensures accuracy, transparency, and integrity in all financial processes, supporting the dealership’s operational and strategic goals.

Position Duties & Skills Required:

· Manage daily cash flow including daily and monthly bank reconciliations Review and manage all balance sheet accounts daily, weekly, and monthly Responsible for legal, insurance, and accounting matters and relations with manufacturers, lenders, floorplan sources.

· Ensure that the payroll process is accurate and timely. Review all payroll postings Prepare/ensure monthly sales tax, lease tax, use tax are accurate and timely.

· Prepare and review all reporting package items at month end.

· Prepare and review all manufacturer financial statements.

· Prepare managers and other commissioned employees payroll and templates.

· Work with CPA firm to maintain accuracy of fixed asset schedules and depreciation.

· Closely review all expenses regularly with store General Manager.

· Facilitate monthly asset meetings.

· Develop protocols for unclaimed property, prepaid expenses, we owe sweeps, employee corrective actions, parts and oil inventory reconciliations, policy expense, cost of sale adjustments, document retention.

· Assure compliance of policies with regard to all store financial transactions and office procedures.

· Work with all managers and staff to monitor and analyze dealership performance.
