Job Summary

The Controller is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting budgeting and cost analysis activities. This role focuses on maintaining compliance with GAAP, overseeing transactional processes, and providing timely financial insights to management.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and GAAP compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products with advanced Excel skills MS Access databases.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with mind-market ERP software as a user or power user.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or CMA certification.
  • Experience with Global Shop Solutions or similar ERP software.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement or LEAN principles.
Essential Job Function
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Supervise all accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting and recording of financial data.
  • Manage general ledger accuracy and oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Monitor and report on manufacturing cost standards and job costing.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement process improvements for accounting workflows.
  • Provide support for ERP system usage and coordinate with IT resources.
  • Lead accounting projects to change and/or improve processes.
