Your role as a Financial Controller
Key responsibilities:
Position Overview
The Financial Controller plays a key role in managing the Finance functions at the site with a continuous
improvement mindset and collaboration with operations. This position is part of the U.S. region, finance
team and reports to the Area Controller. This is an on-site role that will require occasional travel to
other locations.
Roles and Responsibilities
โ€ข Manages the control cycle (AOP, monthly reporting, forecast).
โ€ข Coordinates and submits reporting packages.
โ€ข Monitors the site's financial results and collaborates with Operations leadership
โ€ข team members to identify improvement ideas.
โ€ข Works within different departments to provide guidance, financial expertise and a
โ€ข resource for future growth.
โ€ข Fosters a cost-conscious culture while focused on achieving high levels of customer
โ€ข service.
โ€ข Works with the managers on improvement initiatives to reduce costs.
โ€ข Maintains records in accordance with approved policies, state and federal laws and
โ€ข industry best practices.
โ€ข Maintains the creation of strong internal controls.
โ€ข Addresses finance needs by deadlines.
โ€ข Works with outside service providers (Accounting, Tax, Benefits, etc.) to ensure auditing
โ€ข and compliance requirements are met.
โ€ข Adheres to monthly/annual financial reporting requirements.
โ€ข Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management comments.
โ€ข Completes internal reporting and communication as required.
โ€ข Assists with timely and accurate completion of weekly cash flow projections.
โ€ข Assists in the annual budget completion with Finance and Operations.
โ€ข Supports the shared service center regarding recurring accounting transactions and
โ€ข closing process.
โ€ข Reviews accounting records for accuracy.
โ€ข Works with outside finance service providers related to local, regional and national
โ€ข compliance and deadlines.
โ€ข Coordinates the execution of policies with regional office and global headquarters (e.g.
โ€ข taxes, fees, incentives).
