Introduction to the Role

Unique Dental Scheduling is seeking an In-Office Dental Scheduler to join our growing team in Southern Indiana. This position is responsible for managing inbound and outbound patient communications, scheduling appointments for dental practices, and delivering an outstanding patient experience.

You will work alongside a supportive team while assisting patients with scheduling, rescheduling, confirming appointments, and answering general non-clinical questions. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, accuracy in scheduling and data entry, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

(IF DENTAL EXPERIENCE):

If you have experience with dental or medical, you get to enjoy the patient interaction by assisting them in scheduling their needed appointments; however, we are unable to give clinical advice over the phone. A bonus is that paperwork, physical requirements, and typical job functions for an office/clinical setting do not apply.


Equipment and training will be provided.A strong internet connection is required.Our full-time shift availability includes Monday - Friday, mid-day and evenings. We also have part-time flexible schedules available. Our agents' schedules are the same week after week for our employees' convenience and consistency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming patient calls promptly and professionally.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm dental appointments accurately.
  • Make outbound calls for appointment confirmations, recalls, and follow-up scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate patient information and appointment records.
  • Provide exceptional patient service and represent our clients professionally.
  • Navigate multiple software systems while speaking with patients.
  • Meet quality, productivity, and scheduling performance standards.
  • Prioritize patient needs and scheduling requests appropriately.
  • Respond positively to coaching and feedback.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or additional post-secondary education preferred
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience required
  • Dental, medical, scheduling, call center, reception, or administrative experience preferred


Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to work onsite at our Jeffersonville, Indiana office.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background screening.
  • Must successfully complete all pre-employment assessments.
  • Must be dependable and maintain excellent attendance.
  • Must be able to sit, type, and work at a computer for extended periods.

Available Schedules

Full-Time

Monday through Friday, mid-day shifts:

10 AM- 7 PM, 11 AM- 8 PM, 12 PM- 9 PM, and 1 PM - 10 PM (ALL EST)

Part-Time

Monday through Friday, afternoon and evenings.

Flexible schedules ranging from 3 PM - 10 PM (All EST).
