Bay Cities has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Account Manager located at our headquarter facility in Pico Rivera. The Sales Account Manager is a strategic sales role responsible for supporting the Sales Executive in expanding Bay Cities' business. This position focuses on growing assigned customer accounts, increasing revenue through strategic account development, diversifying business into additional retailers, brands, divisions, and product offerings, and contributing to new customer acquisition. The Sales Account Manager builds strong customer relationships, coordinates projects from concept through development, and serves as a strategic partner to the Sales Executive in driving long-term business growth. 


JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE 

  • Supports the Sales Executive by managing assigned accounts, driving growth within existing customer relationships, and assisting in new business development activities. 
  •  Grows assigned accounts through strategic account planning by expanding into additional retailers, brands, divisions, and product categories to increase revenue and strengthen Bay Cities' presence within each customer. 
  • Drives revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities within assigned accounts while contributing to new customer acquisition and expanding Bay Cities' business. 
  • Builds relationships with key decision-makers across customer organizations while introducing additional Bay Cities capabilities and services to identify new opportunities and expand business within existing accounts. 
  • Identifies and develops additional retailers, brands, divisions, programs, and key contacts within existing accounts while pursuing and qualifying new business opportunities to drive organic growth and strengthen long-term customer partnerships. 
  • Participates in customer visits, presentations, business reviews, and strategic account planning sessions to strengthen relationships, uncover new opportunities, and support business growth. 
  • Prospects, qualifies, and develops new business opportunities through networking, referrals, outbound outreach, customer visits, and other business development activities. 
  • Supports pricing, quoting, profitability reviews, and account strategy development. 
  • Remains knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies. 
  • Creates and maintains opportunities, contacts, activities, and account information within CRM systems. 
  • Creates projects in WebCenter and manages project execution through internal departments from concept through delivery. 
  • Owns project deliverables and overall execution for assigned programs, overseeing projects as they move through Bay Cities' internal departments. 
  • Serves as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned accounts, ensuring timely communication and exceptional customer service. 
  • Collaborates with Design, Estimating, Production, Sourcing, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure successful project execution. 
  • Communicates all client project requirements through WebCenter. 
  • Recaps meeting deliverables with clients and internal departments, assigning ownership and timelines to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction. 
  • Provides account coverage and maintains continuity of customer communication when the Sales Executive is unavailable. 
  • Develops expertise in strategic selling, account management, and business development while supporting the Sales Executive in driving revenue growth and expanding Bay Cities business. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES 

  • BS degree in Business or related field.  
  • Minimum of 2-4 years in business-to-business sales in related industries: Printing, permanent/semi-permanent displays, corrugated, paper board, digital and marketing agencies.   
  • Strong sales instincts including prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, needs analysis, proposal. 
  • Must be skilled with development, negotiation, and "closing". 
  • Thorough knowledge of CRM software, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and other applicable tools 
  • Self-starting: seizes opportunities as they arise. Completes assignments independently without constant supervision. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively speak and present in front of small or large groups. 
  • Has a thorough understanding of manufacturing, design, and 3PL capabilities. 
  • Has a thorough understanding of the competition; stays familiar with their strategy, products, and services. 
  • Understands the meaning and interrelationship of key financial indicators including profit, costs and margins.  
  • Valid Driver's License with DMV evidence of good driving record.
