Description:

Leading Edge Learning Center, LLC is a certified supplemental Education Service Provider that was established in June 2004. Our goal is to provide a chance for achievement to children and adults who are struggling academically and tools for success for children looking to gain an academic advantage in school and in the workplace. Afternoon hours may be available depending on need. Academic coaches will provide students with opportunities and necessary skills for progressive academic success.

Eligibility: Must have some college or a college degree/credential. Must be available during the designated sessions times. The eligibility for continued assignment (if applicable) is contingent upon academic coach's demonstration of optimal performance of job duties and professional consistency for a 90-day period and successful evaluation.

Mandatory Pre-employment Requirements:

? TB Clearance (From within the last three years)

? DOJ Livescan Clearance (Leading Edge Specific)

Responsibilities:

? Arrive on time for your tutoring sessions.

? Keep your time sheets updated daily and submit on time.

? Competency and knowledge in academic subject(s).

? Ability to follow along with district provided curriculum/software

? Multitask and tutor 6-10 students at a time.

? Assess your students appropriately after each session.

? Computer/software literate in Microsoft Word, Excel & internet programs/applications.

? Demonstrate effective verbal communication, active listening skills, and collaboration with students, parents, and co-workers.

? Maintain a safe environment.

? Clean up your area after your session ends.

? Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.

? Project enthusiasm, professionalism, and willingness to help students learn.

? Monitor students’ results and complete progress reports on time.

? Ensure attendance is taken at each session

? Other duties as assigned.
