Position Overview:
The Medical Records Coordinator plays a crucial role in efficiently and accurately managing patient data and records at Boomerang Healthcare clinic while ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update medical records by communicating with external offices.
Scan and upload NP (Nurse Practitioner) packets into the Integrated Medical Systems (IMS) platform.
Scan and upload incoming records received via mail.
Contact hospitals and labs to maintain medical records.
Responsively address patient medical records requests.
Upload dictation files to Ace/IMS.
Respond to all patient inquiries, including returning patient voicemails and emails promptly and professionally.
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines when processing medical records releases.
Maintain patient confidentiality in strict accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or GED.

Requirements:

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
Prior experience working within HIPAA guidelines.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, .PDF, and Adobe programs.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, adeptly gather and analyze information, and develop alternative solutions.
Previous experience with EMR/EHR systems is desirable.

Compensation Range:

$19.00 to $21.00 Hourly

All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
