Job description

The Medical Records Tech is responsible for supervising and maintaining all components of the EastRidge Health Systems Medical Records Room. Responsible for maintaining all records from creation through discharge. Processes medical records requests in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Performs related work as required.
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for reviewing and auditing clinical records to ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, applicable policies and procedures, and third-party reimbursement regulations including Medicaid and Medicare. The Quality Assurance Specialist is also responsible for gathering data related to record reviews and entering data into a centralized database from which various reports can be run for analysis.

The Quality Assurance Specialist may also be called upon to provide technical assistance to a particular program, location or staff person to assist with compliance. The Quality Assurance Specialist will assist the Quality Assurance in targeting areas, programs, policies and/or procedures that need to be improved based on data obtained from the record review process.
